How Can I Help
Links For You

Many have asked, "How can I help, Chette?" and we go through all the needs, and ministry and it often seems mind boggling.

First and foremost PRAYER! No great work large or small has been done apart from prayer. So please the first thing we would ask is that you pray. you can pray through the prayer list located on the "Prayer Request " page at the link to the left.

So if you are still wondering what more you can help with. In addition to your prayers for these things we also need financial assistance. Please be praying whether you can help out with any of these needs. Read through the following and pray.

Personal Needs

Some have asked what our monthly needs are in Palawan. So I thought it best to post that as well.

1) $500. a month in daily supplies and food (no special items, just the bare necessities).

2) $50. a month for electrical service but not including the connection fees we do not have electric service as of yet. (see Home Sweet Home Page)

3) $40. a month in personal transportation fees. We have no car or truck at this time. This doesn't include special trips out of the city for ministry to tribal groups. but we have a motorcycle

4) $350 per semester for Christian Schooling for D.G.

5) $200 a month for misc Medicines and unexpected expences.

The total of $810. per month is the minimum that we would need to live. The more we have the better we will be able to minister. For example the student ministry itself will have its own monthly needs, any additional to our monthly income will be given over to this ministry, and also shared with Pastor Dante and his family.

Ministry Needs

Church needs a computer and printer $1200

$150 still needed to fix the photo copier

$8500 for a multi passenger van for Sunday and youth trips.

$30,000 to purchase a small lot on highway for the church.

$25 Monthly Electric Bill

$500 Need Filing cabinets, desks and chairs for sunday school

Used Clothing Needed

Now you can send new items as well. But what I do want to stress is please don't send wornout, severely torn, or broken shoes or clothing. You know usable stuff only. Clothing and Items you are not using or don't need that would benefit the needy in Palawan.

Now there are two ways to send packages to Palawan. 1)You can send the via the Post Office. But this will cause all donations and gifts to go through customs and as a result we will be made to pay tax on your gift. ans 2) You can send them via door to door package delivery service. This usually bypasses Customs because they are personal gift items and they will be delivered directly to our home. Here are two different Package Services you can contact and use to ship to the Philippines.

LBC Mabuhay 1-800-522-9507 ask for nearest location to you.
They will ship 20X20X20 inch boxes for around $80. they do ship smaller and some slightly larger ones (U-Haul size boxes).

Forex Cargo Inc. 1-888-367-3948 get nearest location.
forex however does not ship anything larger than a 20X20X20 inch box.

they do provide a limited pick up as part of their services but this may no be if you are located extremely far from the nearest location.

If you choose to send via the Package Delivery Service please strap all boxes and tape them well. The handling is not the best. Pack all boxes as tightly as possible.

Address them to:
Chette and Tata Nichols
3162 Chrysanthemum Rd
Purok Magkaisa, Sta Monica
Puerto Princesa City
Palawan Philippines 5300
Also place these addresses on three sides of the box and include this phone number on the labels.  0928 221 7364

Monetary gifts can be sent to:
Calvary Chapel Lynchburg
742 Leesville Road
Lynchburg VA 24502

Make memo that gift is for Chette Nichols Philippines

"For I do not mean for others to be eased and you burdened; but by equality, that now at this time youe abundance may supply their lack, that their abundance may also supply your lack-that there may be equality. As it is written, "He who gathered much had nothing left over, and he who gathered little had no lack.'" 2 Corinthians 8:13-15
